Large UAV Design Course

During the spring 2012 semester students worked to design a high altitude UAV around a modular 5,000lbs payload bay. Additional requirements included integration of two 6-12m long side looking apertures to support a ground radar payload, 20+ hours endurance and satellite communications. Overall predicted vehicle performance was benchmarked against current similar platforms. Designs, structural and performance predictions were presented.
