Distributed Dynamics Center Overview
The Lincoln Beaver Works Distributed Dynamics Center is a research and teaching center dedicated to understanding observation and optimization in complex, distributed, and rapidly changing environments. Environments may include the physical landscape of urban areas and the broader human landscape of social media in which resources, movements, and ideas flow according to complex interdependencies. The center focuses on applying cutting-edge data fusion, machine learning, and visualization techniques to observe, model, and forecast these complex environments. Optimized configuration and control of sensing systems in such environments is also a key focus. In the Distributed Dynamics Center, Lincoln Laboratory staff, MIT Faculty, and students work together to develop algorithms and software to solve these difficult challenging problems, leading to demonstrations of novel visualizations of the developed analytics. The Center also focuses on the teaching and development of students who are excited to apply their interests to help difficult national problems.
