Private data sharing architecture for collecting and analyzing smart phone GPS data

Mission Statement
The purpose of this effort is to design, build, and demonstrate a Trust Framework and associated smartphone Personal Data collection software to support Lincoln Laboratory and US government sociological sensing missions.

Objectives
Develop a prototype Trust Framework and associated smartphone Personal Data collection software. The smartphone Personal Data collection software should be configurable to collect any user initiated smartphone activity such as GPS location, calls made, etc. The Trust Framework should support the negotiation and establishment of data sharing agreements. The Trust Framework should support the collection and aggregation of Personal Data from multiple smartphones. The software should be robust and simple enough for MIT graduate students to use to prototype commercial ventures involving Personal Data collection.

Media Ventures Class Testing (Phase II). This task will make the Trust Framework and smartphone Personal Data collection software available to graduate students taking the Media Ventures class to prototype their venture ideas. The MIT staff will collect feedback on the performance and design of the software. Staff will also collect the student team project reports that document their venture plans and prototyping experiments, including the roadmap for adoption in their target country and market.
